Sony has announced Uncharted: The Nathan Drake Collection will be available on October 7 in Europe and October 9 in North America.
The bundle, which brings together Uncharted: Drake’s Fortune, Uncharted 2: Among Thieves (http://www.ign.com/games/uncharted-2-among-thieves/ps3-38024) and Uncharted 3: Drake’s Deception in one collection on PS4, has been created in order to prep people for the release of Uncharted 4: A Thief's End (http://www.ign.com/games/uncharted-4/ps4-122005) next year. Only the single-player campaigns of the titles will be available.
Sony has also confirmed anyone who buys The Nathan Drake Collection will get access to the Uncharted 4 mutilplayer beta later this year.

Remastered by Bluepoint Games, expect new achievements along with 1080p graphics at 60 fps, and better lighting, textures, and models. Gameplay improvements are also on the way, with an announcement on that front coming soon.
Anyone who pre-orders the game will get the Nathan Drake Pack, which includes single-player skins, the Golden AK-47 and Golden 92FS guns. If you pre-order the digital download via the PlayStation Store, you will also get an Uncharted: Nathan Drake Collection PS4 dynamic theme.
The news confirms rumours that have circulated for some time, along with a leak this morning (http://uk.ign.com/articles/2015/06/04/uncharted-the-nathan-drake-collection-springs-up-on-the-playstation-store) and a tweet from Neil Druckmann. Stick with IGN for more on The Nathan Drake Collection very soon.

If it wasn't for remakes of old games I swear the PS4 would have less games than the Wii U.

I'm new to the Uncharted series, but after playing Uncharted 2 via PS Now I think I'll pass. Just couldn't get into it.

Games available by platform with metacritic score >75

Wii UU: 80 (was actually surprised by that number)
PS4: 120
XBOX1: 81

Yes - I got that. Still stand by what I said. PS4 has plenty of great unique content, and I get a little tired of the opposite perception being pedaled.

However, that being said, I won't be buying this collection cause I already played all three and while I really liked them all, not really into going through them again. They are great, but a little too "On rails" for a repeat play-through to interest me.

If I was to buy any of the remastered PS stuff, it would probably be Last of Us. That I would love to play through again.

I don't think there is that much on any consoles right now outside of 3rd party titles which Nintendo lacks. Indies/arcade I wouldn't count. Hopefully E3 will add to the libraries.

How about as a pre-order bonus I get to trade this in for an earlier release date of Rise of the Tomb Raider for PS4?

Didn't mean to upset anyone with my comment, but yes I did mean exclusives, and on that front it seems there are way more remasters on PS4 than on the other two systems (but I also agree with Retro in that all three systems need more games IMO).

With that said, I am still leaning towards getting a PS4 over a XB1 first anyway due mainly to all the PS+ free games I would have available to download as soon as I get one.

Regardless, somebody having a different OPINION on a system or a game than you do is a silly reason to get annoyed, but then again that has been stated here so many times in so many ways that at this point I have given up trying to convince people of it.

I see this comes out on September 1st and gives access to the Unchartered 4 beta.

Having never played any of the previous installments, are there any more comments other than those above that should convince me to make the purchase?

As it stands all the current titles I have will be more than enough to keep us busy until Battlefront/ R6:S/ The Division. Just wondering if it's worth a distraction?

It's a good series. I enjoyed each game when they came out. They have not aged well though, especially the first game. I found the last Tomb Raider to be superior than any of the UC games. It basically cleaned up what was in the UC games from a gameplay stand point.

That said the story in UC is pretty awesome and I love all the characters. If you've never played them, I'd recommend doing so. I think the bundle is a good deal.

Well, looks like they've done a helluva job with the remaster. Looks really good, I'm really impressed.

Damn, were all the games back then that cheesy and clunky? I've only played the 3rd game, and while it was a fine cinematic experience, I'm with you that the last Tomb Raider blew it away in every regard. Though honestly, despite how it's aged, watching this tempts me to give the collection a shot and start at the beginning and get the whole adventure.

The gameplay in UC was always rough to me, but I loved the characters and the story.

Okay, so I've recently had my cherry popped with the Uncharted series. After my huge disappointment with NMS, I decided to grab this collection.

I'm near the end of the first game, and it's quite a chore to finish. I'm super bored, as the game is very dull. I am keeping in mind, however, that it's 9 years old.

The controls feel super clunky. Character movement is very sloppy. I can't stand how you cannot move when aiming down the sites.

The enemies are complete bullet sponges, and are very dull and lack any identity (Division). It's super obvious when enemies are about to rush you by the area you're walking into. Just really boring with zero surprises. It's also extremely odd how you can

I'm hoping the next 3 improve on this. I do like the story, characters, and writing, even though some parts are overly cliché and you can see it coming from a mile away. Haven't seen any "wow" factor moments like in TLoU.

Well, if you play through them all you'll at least get a warm feeling about the characters, and that helps a bit on the monotony of the game itself. Personally I kind of like best the treasure hunt/riddle solving, but Tomb Raider's got that part down better. Uncharted wants to be like TR meets Indy Jones, but the main activity is climbing and shooting people while hiding behind things. It gets old. I usually cave half way, set difficulty to easy and just finish the damn thing. Looks nice though. Uncharted 2 was my first ps3 game, I remember I could stop and just look around me, enjoying the view.

It's all story. While 2 & 3 clean up the controls, they are still clunky compared to other games. 4 probably has the best controls of the series, but that's not saying much. ND are great story tellers and I love them for it, but actual gameplay mechanics are not their best attribute.

UC2 was my first and all the climbing was way too much for me. Tried UC3 when it was free on PS+ but only for about 10 minutes before I deleted it again.

Yeah, I can see that happening. I finished UC1 last night, and instead of wanting to jump right into UC2 I decided to give Everybody's Gone to the Rapture another shot. That shows how uninterested I am. I'll try to make it through the series, but the outcome isn't looking good.

I'm a lot let down, as I've heard so much about UC being the greatest series ever and such amazing games. These are the biggest reason I regretted never owning a PS3, and for sure wouldn't do that again this gen. I feel like a kid who was promised candy, but it turns out the candy is black licorice.

I also could never get into the UC2 multiplayer, tried the beta for UC3 aswell but never bought it. The multiplayer is not bad, I just don't enjoy 3rd person cover shooters as much.

Never tried the UC multiplayer, but I was super bored with the multiplayer in TLoU. Not a 3rd person thing, as I had a blast with Max Payne 3 multiplayer.

Speaking of, they need to backward compat that game. I'd love to play through the campaign again.
