So there is a dearth of gaming related TV in the UK, but last night I watched the first episode of Go 8 Bit which aims to inject a little comedy and a little celebrity into gaming. The range of video games they played included Tetris, Tekken, Chuckie Egg, Battlefront and some balloon popping clone.

It was quite fun and well presented, so much so that my wife (99% non-gamer) started by saying "why are you watching this?" and ended up saying "that was fun, let's series link it"!

Do you have any gaming TV that you watch, or is it all YouTube?

Ah. I remember Chuckie Egg. Was a classic for sure.
Is that only on Dave? I will have to look it out as I am fond of a bit of Dara on the tellybox. Thanks for the heads up.

Love that Gone 8-bit show. It's like a slice of gaming history from old to new. I think my son will like it.

Watched Batman vs Superman recently.......way to long and boring for my liking. Kids lost interest in the first 20-30 minutes due to lack of action in a SUPER HERO movie. Ben Affleck was pretty good as Batman. Lois Lane should try and stay out of trouble for once, makes the movie predictable. She and Spider-man's bird should exchange some tips on how to not distract super heroes or wonder-woman should just lay down the smack-down on both.

I refuse to watch it. I'm a little tired of the super hero reboots tbh... and am a fan of Christopher Nolan films (all I'll say is INCEPTION).

Tim Burton though!

Apologies....no idea how I ended up posting in this thread instead of movies! If a mod can kindly move post it would be appreciated.

The only gaming channel I ever watch is Neebs Gaming...by the guys who do Battlefield Friends. I'm trying to build my own, in between job and family responsibilities.

Still enjoying Go 8 Bit.

My son and I loved the look of 'Gang Beasts' which was featured last week.
A really quirky brawler from some indie devs, the gameplay had my son in tears of laughter. Looks like fun.

I've got some catching up to do on the series. Might be a binge watch this evening.

There's a new TV series on the BBC, which recreates historical battles using the Total War game engines. I used to watch this series when it was on, 10 years ago!

Conan O'Brien's "Clueless Gamer" YouTube Show, where the late-night show host plays video games and makes fun of them, will soon become its own unscripted TBS series.

TBS president Kevin Reilly revealed the news to The Hollywood Reporter, saying that as part of an effort to shake things up and reinvigorate Conan, TBS has decided to greatly expand "Clueless Gamer." The series will start production next month and will retain most of what made "Clueless Gamer" a viral hit, like getting celebrities to play certain video games with O'Brien and his snarky commentary on them.

"We've gotten to the point where video game companies are sending us their new product for us to play and make fun of because it's been such a huge success," Reilly told The Hollywood Reporter.

Reilly also confirmed that, despite Turner CEO John Martin telling The Wrap that Conan will soon change into a weekly format, the show is remaining nightly.

"At this time, we have no plans to change the format or frequency of his popular TBS show," Reilly said.

A new series of Go 8-Bit started tonight and saw some great games featured.
Micro Machines was a real blast from the past, giving me a renewed interest in the new iteration of the title.
Then right after the show was the new 'Go 8-Bit DLC' which is a short show discussing recent games/ Gaming news which was a bonus.
Good family fun for the gamers out there.

Thanks for the heads-up ... I'll be catching up on that and taping* the rest of the series.

*Was that suitably 8-bit style for you?
