battlefield site has a download of all the maps in a top down view. It might be useful for planning tactics.

I think we need to name certain areas of maps. If not, just try to be descriptive when locating enemies. Usually saying "near the hills" or "mountain drop off" works. Naming a region of the map by a characteristic definitely helps everyone know what we're talking about. If they would put a compass on the map it would be so much easier. I tend to use 2 o'clock, watching your 6, and stuff like that to help people know what I'm seeing.

From my experience it doesn't help anyone when I say they are "near the tree."

you are right there any class can spot makes it easyer for all the team,at least for me nothing gives me more pleasure than seeing in the killcam the guy that killed me getting nailed

Yea Borlax, i know what you mean. I often hear people trying to explain where the enemy is. In MW2 on smaller maps it can really work well. But on vast maps like bfbc2, instead of trying to explain where the enemy is...just hit that back button when you see movement. As funny as it sounds, spotting is one of the most important aspects of this game. Sometimes I will run Wookie class and do nothing but spot for my team when I see that others arent spotting. Give it a try guys...bet ya we start winning some more... :-bd :peace:

But "spotting" is spotty at best. They really need to fix that. I've been in front of the tracks of a Bradley and pressed BACK and nothing. I guess I never REALLY saw it.

+1 for a compass. that would make life SO much easier. Can we all just look at the map pack, and call 'north' the top of the map? clunky, but perhaps helpful?

Re: the maps... cool! Now i need to find a color printer.

I agree. The top of each map should be considered NORTH.

and then we can you The Never Eat Shredded Wheat formula to determine the other directions. Trust me, it comes in handy when your in the middle of a heated battle.

:p :))

I was hoping to find some better augmented maps and i found some cool stuff over at Battlestrats. They have not annotated all the maps, but they have a couple. It is nice to have the locations of the flags superimposed. (click the link then select "MP Map Overviews")

Last night while defending the first set of Mcomms on Arica Harbor I have officially name the large mountain, Wookie Mountain. You know the one you keep getting shot from.
During the match you could hear me yelling such things as "Damnit Krisk kill the wildlife on wookie mountain!", "I just got shot from wookie mountain." "Guy running in from wookie mountain." :D
