I don't know how, but I don't think we have had this discussion yet. :D

I have to go with Pie for it's versatility.....

For a biased opinion check out this scientific analysis (http://hyperboleandahalf.blogspot.com/2010/03/pie-verus-cake-scientific-approach.html)

LOL! Wasn't this already addressed in the "this or that" thread?

I would also have to go with pie.....because it has free online gaming :P ;)

I didn't see it, besides "this or that" doesn't give everyone the chance to answer :D .

I love pie. I'm not keen on any type of cakes.

As we Brits say;

Who ate all the pies?
Who ate all the pies?
You fat bastard,
You fat bastard,
You ate all the pies!

That's me!

how about both?

cake= light, fluffy, moist, perfect ratio of icing to cake, chocolate, vanilla, angel's food, strawberry, carrott, german chocolate; goes with ice cream very well

pie= heavy, crispy, flakey, fruity, banana cream, coconut cream, rhubarb, mince meat; goes well with ice cream

I'm thinking cake by a small margin

Oh yeah and I'm not too keen on sweet pies either. Don't have much of a sweet tooth. Savory/meat pies FTW!!!!!

It's a cake, lum. CheeseCAKE. I prefer pie.

And I know it's called CheeseCAKE, but it really seems more like a pie. :-?

I was thinking the same thing, perhaps we should enter the torte into the conversation, as I think cheesecake would qualify as a sort of torte although we don't call it that.

mmmmmmmm torte............

I think cheesecake could be considered a firm pie :D . Ahh, torte. We wait every year for the delivery from Swiss Colony of the torte my grandma always sends at Christmas. Way good stuff!!!!
