Any interest in this game?

http://xbox360.ign.com/articles/111/1110533p1.html

I bought Operation Flashpoint: Dragon Rising and it is a real blast. Different from any kind of FPS I've played. It's more of a mil sim type game with a lot slower action than your BC2 types. The different levels on this game were all hard, and the only difference between easy and Hardcore is the amount of information available to you on the screen.

It's a slower paced, mostly single player with a Co-Op available, type of game.

I really think I will get the new one when it comes out, but I'm a sucker for these games.

I want this, been waiting for something to come out on it. I read the article on IGN earlier and the only thing I don't like is "this game will NOT have competitive multiplayer".

Only put in the bold section into the tags.

I agree, that is a real bummer. a competitive multiplayer would be a blast with this game. I'm anxious to play the sp, but also the co-op. I never got a chance to play OF:Dragon Rising co-op because nobody plays it anymore...

This game keeps all the n00b tube whiny bitching kids out of the game tho...

I read the date wrong on the site, I just Dec. 31st and ignored the 2011. All the same, Christmas will still break me next year too.

Oh damn, May??? I thought this was going to be some time in November. Not that it matters what the month is as there always seems to be 5 or 10 new titles that I want.

I stand corrected. The release date is officially:

"Operation Flashpoint: Red River is being released on the PC, Xbox 360, and PlayStation 3 on April 21 in Europe and Australia, and on April 26 in the US."

http://www.destructoid.com/operation-flashpoint-rr-trailer-and-exclusive-screens-194437.phtml

That's awesome, only 2 months away!

If Homefront doesn't work out, I will try this one, because it looks allot like BC2, in the way in plays.. OF, Dragon Rising was a cool game. But the Open world made it really difficult to locate and destroy the enemy.

I'm really excited about this game. The first one was hard, and the open world was a bit tough to be able to see the enemy at times. OFDR gameplay was sometimes clunky. Mainly the controls made it hard (on a console) to switch weapons, heal, give team commands. In the videos I just posted it looks like they have done a better job of making it more user friendly.

I kind of wish there was a traditional MP to this, but even with a Co-op MP, it will be fun to team up and play the game. I'm hoping to have this day 1

Another trailer for this game.

This game looks pretty good. If it's half as good or better than OFDR then this game will be a phenomenal SP experience. I know Retro said he was picking it up, is there anyone else thinking about picking it up?

It comes out 4/26/11, so about a month after Homefront. Although this game won't have a competitive MP, the Co-op looks to be pretty fun!

So the North America release date has been pushed back to June 7th :(( Europe, however, is still getting the game on April 21st. :-?

Not sure why the pushback for NA...kinda sucks IMO. Hopefully this game will rock pretty hard. It looks super fun and I'm still getting it day 1. Hell, I still play Dragon Rising...

Little over a month left until we get it over across the pond. I'm still excited about it. I do wish there was some sort of competitive multiplayer, the co-op will be fun for sure. It was fun in Dragon Rising playing with a squad of real people vs AI squads.

The interesting is that I think you can join on your friend playing his single player campaign.I haven't tried it yet cause no one has the game yet

ok i just played my first co-op game in someones campaign with 3 randoms took us 60 minutes to complete the mission prety cool
the open campaign to co-op you can set it as you sart your game and then anyone can join you,you can either make it private, just for friends or open to everyone, i think this fiture makes the game really interesting

Anyone still have this game? I picked it up a few weeks ago and I kinda dig it.
