View Full Version : Ode to BFBC2

Okay guys, I think this game could use a soundtrack! I already have several songs in mind that I want to make into a soundtrack to run in the background, either on my MP3 player, or on my laptop. I love music, and usually can be found with music playing whatever I do. I often find myself humming or with song lyrics in my head while playing BFBC2. Teach seems to be the same as me, this game needs some music was his comment last night during game play. Anyway, I would like to create a list of songs, if nothing else for me to listen to while we are shooting it out. I would like to hear some of your opinions on some great Battlefield songs, keeping with the theme of the game somewhat. Maybe we could somehow make a share list or something, I am not a tech person, so I have no idea how this would be accomplished, but I think it would be cool to have.

Just a few of the songs I want on my list so far:
Bad Company (an obvious choice) original and remake
Mad World (they played it on the commercial for Gears of War, and it just gets stuck in my head when playing)
Raspberry Beret (again, obvious reasons, thanks for the vid that led me to this one Willie-Pep)
A-team theme song

I know I had some others in mind, but I can't really think of them at the moment. If you have any good suggestions, post away! ;)

Well this is fitting for the Vietnam expansion.

Fortunate Son - CCR
Purple Haze - Hendrix
Here Comes The Rooster - Alice in Chains

And just for laughs, (don't play at work or around kids! You've been warned)

I would throw in Iron Man by Ozzy, for when we are tearing up the enemy big-tanky-style!

Here are a few.

Pillar- Not without a fight

Five Finger Death Punch - Bad Company

Sick Puppies - Your going down

Stroke 9 - Kick some ass

Let the Bodies hit the Floor - Drowning Pool

Got to love me some ZZ Top. No one rocks a beard like these guys. If I could suddenly grow a ZZ Top'esque beard I would LOVE to see the reaction I would get at work. Definitely a "career limiting" move, but it would be awesome!

Two for one special....

...and throw in a little Tragically Hip, just for good measure. IMHO the greatest Canadian Rock band of all time (Gord Downie is a lyrical genius).

...Oh, Yeah...gotta' throw in some Rush (if for no other reason than the Band name is just too frickin' perfect for this list/game):

"I Slappa Da Bass...oh yeah, slappa da bass" (sorry, just had to throw in the quote)

Everytime I fly, this is the song that is going through my head. Watch it all, it's inspiring.
You'll definitely hear me humming this while I fly.

And when I am driving I hear this...

+1, Lagrange & Sick Puppies

For some reason, I hear the last one (Hanuman) a lot in my head when I'm running around like a moron and accomplishing nothing.

When we're having a hard time destroying MCOM's and just keep dying like crazy, this song always gets to me...

Thanks guys, got a great list going so far, keep it coming. I think my fav would have to be I'm On A Boat, =)) . So it may get crazy next time I'm on a boat! =)) Got a version of Teach's last song that I like and thought I'd share.

Someone mentioned this in a game last night. Now I can't get it out of my head.

I'm guessing that Pete Townsend wishes he could go back in time, find the idiot who him in white, bib cover-alls and kick him in the nuts.

Well, we all knew we would cross this line eventually... I have to have some Bon Jovi on this mixed up mix of music. Mmmm.. :x :-* Oh, sorry, anyway, just thought this fit for me...
