Ok. I know from past posts, I am only talking to Blackpowder & Infliction at the most.
But is anyone gonna be watching the Ryder Cup?
Expect plenty of hot sunshine in Wales ;)
And Tiger can go to town and find some of those game Welsh lasses :-"

Come on Europe...and good luck USA **==

P.s. If you are of the 99% of the planet that would rather pull out their own teeth than watch this, than do not tell me how **** this game is :)

Golf, bleh! Used to work at a golf resort and not being a golfer that was enough for me. I'll keep a sly eye out for the scores but that's about it.

With Michael Jordan on our side, we are sure winners. USA!

I will be watching. Go USA. I actually have a golf outing to go to on Monday, so I'm very excited to watch.

Me too. Love to play, if I can get out regularly. If not, I'm usually just miserable out there hacking. Either way, I can't watch more than a few minutes of someone else playing, though I actually attended one PGA event and that was pretty cool.

Lol I couldn't attend, I am not quiet enough! Someone would slice the sh*t out of a ball and you would hear "you suck" in the background :-$ . Maybe it is just me but I have always wanted to watch it on tv and hear a fan boo someone when it is silent lol.

Wow. What a difference a day makes!
I didn't catch too much yesterday, as I went for a great round of golf with my brother against our mum and dad, as it was their 40th wedding anniversary today (we beat them).

Turned on the tv today with Europe down 4-6, after some superb golf from USA (esp Cinks putting). Fully expecting the states to open up a tin of whoopass. And Europe only claw it back.

All down to the singles on Monday. Woot woot

I traditionally root for Europe in these situations. I don't recon I'll change that this year ;)

Wow....
That was just the most amazing days golf I have seen in a long time.
I didn't think that was even possible at the first tee!
USA came in strong all week with Jason Dufner being a standout for me.

I now have no fingernails left, that was unfricken' believable...

Not sure if anyone caught any of this.
I thought both sides played some incredible golf, and the momentum could have switched numerous times.
Would have been nice to see Captain Tom take the cup, but of course it was good to see Europe retain it.

I really want to go to one of these one day, the atmosphere looks superb.
Bubba Watsons 1st tee antics were hilarious. Good on him for breaking the mould!

Shame about Mickleson's comments.

Yeah, and Faldo too...what was that all about?

I thought Faldo was defending Watson? Did I misread that?

In a separate incident at the start of the weekend, Faldo came out and said various things about Sergio Garcia and his lack of performance under Faldos captaincy.

Mickleson's comments were more than likely a political move to go for a Captaincy in two years. He certainly went down in my books as it wasn't really in the Team spirit.

I've been trying to grab the action as and when I can this weekend.
Caught Day 1 Fourballs, and saw Europe take an early slap down from a strong US side.
The visitors picked themselves up in the afternoon bringing things back to a friendlier 5-3 overnight.

It was a dramatic opening day in a competition that specialises in the sort of see-saw excitement that few other sporting events can match. At midday the course was a sea of Stars and Stripes,

McIlroy and Sullivan's foursomes defeat on the 18th to Mickelson and Fowler, having been two up with four to play, was perhaps the most chastening European moment of all.

Yet in the afternoon the vast galleries were silenced by a European charge that brought back stirring memories of Medinah four years ago, and nothing epitomised that better then McIlroy's eagle putt on the 16th to see off Johnson and Kuchar with the impressive Pieters. The contest is wide awake and wide open.

During practise, in true 'Happy Gilmore' style a heckling douche was put on the spot and challenged to make an 8 footer. He stepped up and sunk it making a comfortable $100 and his 5 minutes of fame. Nice.

It looks like the US Team are playing with confidence on home turf this year. The Europeans have certainly got their work cut out.
Fortunatley in this Ryder Cup I can support both teams, as a significant few people thought it would be a good idea for the UK to leave Europe. So here I am in the middle of the Atlantic, waving two flags! :uk::usa2:

Game on...

USA!! USA!! USA!!

Patrick Reed, Rocky Fowler, and Mickelson were the heroes imo.

Very exciting stuff.

There was no holding back the strong US charge on Sunday, especially as Clarke played his strongest suit out first. The trailing rookies never stood a chance against their dominant counterparts.
A good home win and well deserved, Medinah can now be put behind the US as they lift the cup.
