Anyone going to be watching the games? With so many UK and Canadian members I thought it was worth bringing up.

Wanted to but highlights seem to be on at the wrong times.
Guess I'll just keep an eye on the BBC website.

Waste of time and a waste of money! The venues I've seen so far are 90% empty. Just like the sad sack Pan-AM Games coming to Toronto 8-} what a waste of tax payer dollars that's going to be.

Here in KY we had the World Equestrian Games. Same story, everyone acts shocked that ticket sales are so low that they're giving away tickets to pretty much everyone school kid in the region.

I don't remember getting to vote against this waste of resources.

Honestly I wasn't looking for negative comments! If you're not interested, please don't bother commenting or I will ask for this to be locked and removed!

Calm down man, or I will be forced to enter the games myself in my mankini! ;;)

And did those feet in ancient time
Walk upon England's mountain green?
And was the holy Lamb of God
On England's pleasant pastures seen?
And did the countenance divine
Shine forth upon our clouded hills?
And was Jerusalem builded here
Among those dark satanic mills?

Bring me my bow of burning gold!
Bring me my arrows of desire!
Bring me my spear! O clouds, unfold!
Bring me my chariot of fire!
I will not cease from mental fight,
Nor shall my sword sleep in my hand,
Till we have built Jerusalem
In England's green and pleasant land

I'm getting quite used to this as the anthem for England.

One of my personal faves!

Did you see that the English boxer beat the Indian favourite in contraversial circumstances?
