View Full Version : Clan Tag Strategy

I'm pretty sure that someone on this thread once suggested the idea of using the Clan Tag as a strategy tool. Lately we have had several nights where we have 8 or more MPs all on at the same time, and I was thinking that we could try something that would involve briefly changing our tags. I've never tried to change my clan tag (not since setting it to MP), but I think it is very easy to do so. If we have two squads of MPs, one could be MPA and the other MPB. That way, everyone has a basic idea of which objective to focus on. Whether or defending or attacking you know basically where you should be.

Anyone think this is an idea worth exploring? Sometimes I worry that I'm losing focus and just sort of running around like a chicken with its head cut-off.

:)) ;) (couldn't help myself, use to do that in BF2)

that way it doesn't look like there is a whole clan on the other side and we can dominate while giving them a small sense of security.

I must be slow-witted. Is there an anagram in there somewhere, or just random letters.....I feel certain that I'm going to be embarrassed by the answer.

When I use to play BF2, my clan back then use to use that as our call sign for the squad. It was awesome. No one ever wanted to join us except for our clan mates. :))

Not to change the subject or anything *cough, cough, nervous shuffling of feet* but back to what Daylite said... I think this could ultimately be a winning strategy. Its beauty is in its simplicity. As Daylite said, everyone basically would know where they should be and what they should be doing, and might impose a little structure on 8+ MPs running amok. Me likey simple things.

Yes, the simplicity was what appealed to me, too. If enough people think it's a good idea (hence the gentle thread bump ;) ) then I'd be willing to try. If the idea takes hold then one possible way to implement the strat is for whichever squad starts in a given evening(any night, doesn't have to be organized) would simply set their tag to MPA and then subsequent players simply adopt the opposite tag for that night.

My question would be how would we know that we need to be MPA or MPB??? Do we have to join the party first? I guess that would be the best thing to do.

Yeah, it would make sense to discuss it within a Live party.
