I tried Black Ops in 3D on my Brother in Law's TV...scary real. It made everything pop. But, I could only take it for a few minutes.. it felt like I had been on a roller coaster...not throw-up sick, just kinda woozy.
He has KZ3, but I have yet to try it.

From what I have read, the 3D in KZ3 is the best so far. Not willing to invest that much money in what will likely be a fad.

New technology is on the horizon where you will only need the flimsy 3D glasses not the $150 battery operated ones...
So, if you are looking to buy a 3D TV...I would wait.

The funny thing is that you don't need to have a 3D TV to see in 3D. Just the Red-Cyan glasses and a program that broadcasts it in 3D. NBA 2K11 on the XBOX and PS3 both let you use 3D glasses (green-magenta or red-cyan) to play the game. Looks really incredible, but like Psalm said, just dizzying.

I bought a 60Ē 3D TV this past weekend but I wonít get it until Wed. I just wanted something larger than my 50Ē I had in my media room. The 3D TV was only $250 more than the 60Ē I was going to buy so I bought the 3D instead. I really want to check out GT5 in 3D. Do you know if 3D only works for SP or can you also play MP in 3D?

Thatís ok! All my friends that have asked me about getting 3D TVs, I tell them all to wait about a year. I just could not pass this one up for the price. I donít really care to watch movies in 3D at the moment but would like to play some games in 3D. Once I get it I will be shifting 3 other TVs around in my house. I told my wife I can cut down on moving so many TVs by putting the new TV in our bedroom where my PS3 is hooked up. She didnít fall for that one.

Yesterday was the day I was supposed to pick up my new 3D TV. =p~ When I arrived at the store I purchased it from I was informed that it was not there. #-o The store mgr. told me he placed a special order form my TV and it was at their warehouse across town ready for pick up if I wanted to go and get it. My kids were at my parents and my wife would not be home for a while so I decided to drive to the warehouse to get my new toy. When I arrived at the warehouse I was told there was no TV there for me. :cuss: :cuss: I will leave out all the other BS that happened but long story short, the dumb fucks at the warehouse took the TV that had my invoice # and name on it and shipped it somewhere else instead of the store it was designated for. After two hours for dealing with this BS and driving through rush hour traffic in Dallas I returned to the store. My intentions were to cancel my order and get my money back and take my business elsewhere. The store mgr. which turns out to be the district mgr. for the area is who I was dealing with. He offered to pay me cash for my gas and time wasted. [-( My counter offer was for him to give me two additional pairs of 3D glasses for free!!!

So now Iím waiting until Monday to get my new TV but now I have 4 pairs of glasses to go with it when it comes in on Monday. Although Iím still kind of pissed about what happened I ended up with something that would have cost me $281 but instead cost two hours of my time.

=))

I tried the same thing with my wife about adding a TV in our room I can double task, game and spend time with her. :-q

Plus don't you think there will too much crap on your head now? headphones, glasses, etc.

I'm totally happy with my 50" Pioneer Kuro Elite. Won't be getting anything to replace that until it breaks down.

No not Best Buy, I haven't bought any thing from them in about 7 years. I bought it from a local company called Conn's. They only have stores in Texas, Louisiana, and Oklahoma.

I finally got to try out some games in 3D last night. I started off with GT5 and was not very impressed with the 3D visuals. Most of the objects that have really good depth are not your main focus when racing. Now if a car was in front of me dropping things in the road to dodge and bouncing off the hood of the car that would rock.

Next I played a little KZ3 bot zone. The map I was on had the large bots that you can walk around in. The 3D affect on this was awesome!!! It looked like I was really inside a vehicle. There are also some flags hanging down in parts of this map and I found myself trying to duck to dodge them a few times.

Tonight I will have more time to check out the SP on KZ3 and BO to see if playing in 3D adds anything to the gaming experience.

I read an article today saying that the PS3 would have 30 games released in 2011 supporting 3D.

I have read that the 3D effects in KZ3 are the best so far. Uncharted 3 in 3D could look amazing.

Let me know how awesome all the 3D games are, because I am living vicariously through you L-) <---- me, not you

Ok, forget about my first impressions of GT5 in 3D. The second time I turned on the PS3 that was connected to my 3D TV a new menu appeared asking what size 3D TV I have. Now this big bitch is running 3D and not simulated 3D like my first test. Words cannot describe everything that is going on at one time when playing GT5. The picture is crisp and clean without any shadows or ghosting. The cars, tracks and scenery are amazing in GT5. GT5 now auto detects the 3D TV and asks if you want to play in 2D or 3D when the game is started.

Next I put in KZ3 thinking it would work like GT5 but hell no it didnít. I only got simulated 3D when I started playing bot zone. I then paused the game and checked the options menu. In the menu is an option for 3D TV setup. I had to exit the game and go to the KZ main menu to setup the TV. Basically I just changed the 3D option from off to on and when my TV asked if I want to watch in 3D I hit ok. Easy enough, now itís play time. The graphics are just as good in 3D as they are in 2D. The only difference now is that everything has depth and a true feel of size. Some of the cut scenes appear like theyíre in front of the TV instead of in or on the screen. I still havenít played very much at all but Iím sure now I know wtf Iím doing that will change over the next few days.

The last thing I have to report on is a 3D movie. I was told Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs was one of the best 3D kidís movies available. I bought it on Amazon for $26. The bluray plays 2D and 3D so I felt the price was not that bad for a movie. Watching a bluray movie in 3D is absolutely fucking amazing!!! The movie is a crystal clear flawless image on the TV, much better than anything Iíve ever seen in a theater. My kids were going absolutely crazy over what they were seeing on the TV.

I was just looking for a 60Ē 1080p TV when I stumbled across this one. The TV I was going to buy was $1399.99 and not 3D. I found the TV I bought on sale for $1549.99 and it came with two pair of glasses for free. For the extra $150 I would give it a try to see what I thought. Iím very pleased with the extra money I decided to spend; itís worth every penny of it.

I feel this is a very big step into the kickass world of idiocracy. I think tomorrow Iím going to bring home a truck load of PowerAde from work and start watering my yard with it. Then this weekend take the family to buttfuckers for dinner. Well maybe we havenít made it that far yet but itís fast approaching.
