You guys all know my situation with Meg. She is an absalute BC2 whore... That didn't sound right. Anyway, do you guys think she will like the game, and play it allot if I buy it for her? Or do you think I should just wait on BF3? Any thought would help. I am between a rock and a hard place trying to figure this out.

Once she joins the "Level 50 Club" B-) in BC2, re-evaluate the situation then.

I went with Probably not.

I did the whole, "Head out of the ass" thing. It just sounds awesome. But, other than that, I'm not sure if she'll love it, but I'm sure she'll like it.

Is the "Level 50 Club" anything like the "MILE HIGH CLUB" ?

Just Sayin... :-"

I do really think the game is worth it, IF:

- Your not expecting BC2 or CoD.
- You don't care about K/D ratios.
- Your preference is team work.
- You want objective based games.
- You like to play a supporting role.
- Your in the market for a shooter that is different than everything else out there.

I went for "probably not." It's a tough call, she might like it, if she gives it a real chance. I didn't love it the first few times I played, but it has grown on me and now I'm having a lot of fun playing the game. IMO, it is more of a run 'n gun shooter than BC2 and for that reason I'm not sure that Meg would like it.

I went with probably not, too, but heck man, she's your wife, you tell us!

I think it's a cool game. I'm not sure it will have the staying power of a battlefield (Actually, I know it won't because I'm been playing bc2 for more than a year and battlefield 3 will be out before then ;) ), but it's a lot of fun.

Technically she should already be in the "Level 50 Club" if you consider the fact that she passed the first gamer tag that she leveled up!!! Not sure she will make it there though, as she has had too much going on. Maybe life will slow down a bit in a few weeks so she can hit level 50. ;)

As for Brink, I voted on Don't waste the money, she might kill you, because she just might..... ;)

Did I really just talk about myself in the third person???!!!! Wow, I seriously need a vacation... 8-}

NO ....... LA noire is coming out this week.... I'll report to ya on that one....thats a cop game from the 40's. You start as a beat cop and solve crimes and move up the ladder....they are supposed to have face reading...like you interogate the suspect and read there expessions and decide if they are lying or not.

Plus I don't want to lose anymore MP's from BC2. :D

This game is going to be EPIC (IMO). It is going to take a full Blu-ray disc for the PS3 and 3 cds for the XBOX.

I voted probably not because while it does have a lot more teamplay it is more of a run and gun game. Besides, we will all be alternating with battlefield. ;)

I changed my vote to "Hell no." I've played the game enough at this point to feel strongly that it doesn't have staying power. They need to a workable multi-player mode otherwise it is just way to predictable and repetitive to be fun, in the long run.

I don't see how the online modes in this game are any less repetitive and predictable than BC2 matches where you are either going for the exact same MCOMS each time or the exact same flags each time. If anything, I think BRINK has more variety than BC2, but then again, I am partial to the story driven modes with changing objectives in Killzone 3, and this game reminds me of KZ3 in a lot of ways.

Standing near/defending a wall and shooting endless streams of AI bots for 15 minutes gets very repetitive, very fast. IF there was a functioning mulit-player mode then at least the attackers would be less predictable (i.e. human).

It would have been nice to have in BC2 and maybe it's something they will have in BF3 - Dynamic objectives where the flags/mcomm locations are generated in different spots as oppossed to the same static location each time.

I was thinking the same thing this morning.

I wish I could think of which mission this was...Security is assaulting on Resistance turf. If you're playing R then it can be like shooting fish in a barrel as they try to assault that first corner. Without some humans on Security you can usually just keep them piling up, but this is the only one I experience that on!

I have been finding multiple spots on the different maps where you can bottle neck the enemy and keep them contained. I wish on some of the defend missions there was a secondary offensive objective that helped chip away at the time. Like the one where the resistance is trying to rescue Nacheyev. As security you should be able to escort him back to the cell and then hack the doors shut or something. Sitting near his body while you fire at the enemy coming through the doorway is hella' boring.
