Someone explain to me how creating a super soldier and having a perk system that doesn't reset equals balance. I don't want to be a troll but this just seems to make it easier for a team to run one of each system and roll over a team of randoms. Only time will tell.

First I got to say that the graphics look 100 x's better than Black Ops. I like these Strike Packages. The Specialist package worries me a little bit, though. Too many "Super Soldiers" would suck. I'm also concerned with a couple of weapons like the auto shotties that look a little OP. The game looks beautiful, though.

Dinsdale, you stole my Super Soldier Point!

I am going to withhold judgment until we see how the game plays, but I have doubts about this game beign well balanced. I can already see a few things people are going to be complaining about like they did about One Many Army and Danger Close in MW2, and Last Stand and the AK74u in BO. COD games look great and fun fantastic (except for BO) but they are not exactly known for being well balanced (except for COD4).

I think it will be fairly difficult to unlock all the perks... Others will have killstreaks out. I agree we will ahve to wait and see.

It only takes two kills to get another perk. Depending on the original perks, game type, and weapon balance. I don't think it would take a +1 KD player very long to be in beast mode.

Unforunately, I have to agree. This, to me, seems like the complete opposite of "balance."

Just to be clear, a skilled player in MW3 who gets enough kills to get all of the perks in the game will be coming at you with this:

Perk Slot 1:
•Recon - Explosive damage paints the target on mini-map.
?Recon Pro - Bullet damage paints the target on the mini-map.
•Sleight of Hand - Faster reloading.
?Sleight of hand Pro – Swaps weapons faster.
•Blind Eye - Undetectable by air support and sentries.
?Blind Eye Pro – Launchers lock-on quicker. Extra bullet damage versus air support and sentries.
•Extreme Conditioning - Sprint for longer distances.
?Extreme Conditioning Pro - Climb obstacles faster.
•Scavenger - Reload ammunition from bags. (Unlocked at Lieutenant I – level 39)
?Scavenger Pro - More ammunition to start.

Perk Slot 2:
•Quickdraw - Faster aiming.
?Quickdraw Pro - Recover from equipment and grenade usage quicker.
•Blast Shield - Increased explosive resistance.
?Blast Shield Pro - Resistance to stun and flash.
•Hardline - Killstreaks require 1 less kill
?Hardline Pro – Every 2 assists count as a kill towards your killstreak. Deathstreaks require 1 less death.
•Assassin - Undectable by UAV, portable radar, thermal and heartbeat sensors.
?Assassin Pro – Immune to Counter-UAV and EMP. No crosshairs or name when targeted.
•Overkill - Equip 2 primary weapons. (Unlocked at Lieutenant Colonel – level 47)
?Overkill Pro - Second primary weapon can be equipped with 2 attachments.

Perk Slot 3:
•Marksman - Identify enemy targets at longer range.
?Marksman Pro - Increased breath holding time.
•Stalker - Move faster while aiming down sight
?Stalker Pro - Delay enemy Claymore explotions
•SitRep - Detect enemy explosives and tactical insertions.
?SitRep Pro – Louder enemy footsteps.
•Steady Aim - Increased hip fire accuracy.
?Steady Aim Pro – Weapons ready faster after sprinting.
•Dead Silence - Allows you to walk, sprint and jump almost silently. (Unlocked at Brigadier General I – level 55)
?Dead Silence Pro - No fall damage.
Yup.........balanced.

EDIT: he says in the video that after 8 kills you will have every perk in the game, so at one new perk per two kills, that is an extra 4 on top of the three you start with, which = 7 total, and their are 15 on that list, so not sure how that works out.

Especially with a decent support player calling in UAV's and counter UAV's for days. Frankly that is the class I will running. I never get high kill streaks but can consistently chain 4 to 5 kills together with a UAV up. If I can then get to Advanced UAV my job is done for my team.

Then we add in an Assault SP guy that used my UAV to camp out his Predator (since he can rely on me for the UAV), he then calls in his Harrier or Pavelow, and all of a sudden he is raining down an AC-130 in no time.

The other team can't see us, is getting demolished, and to top it all off there is some pub-stomper running around with all the perks picking off the Assassins. My early prediction is a lot of people rage quitting. Still I want to play it and really want to play the private matches. I would rather have fun with some MP only games than test my muscle all day against annoying pub lobbies.

Someone just tweeted that the Specialist Package doesn't unlock until Level 80. Okay that balances things for about 3 days. I wonder if people will start using two accounts that like Specialist. One for beastly games and the other to prestige.

There is a huge amount of comments from people saying their "balanced" comment is laughable on FB, and this is on the comment posted by the MW2 group, which in my experience has nearly 90% of people saying how awesome MW2 is and it is the best game ever. Now seems at least 50%+ of the comments are people saying "nope, not gonna get this expensive expansion, getting BF3 instead this time."

I really, really, really hope MW3 is a great game, because it is very different from BF games and some people just like the fast paced run and gun lone wolf type of gameplay more, but I have to wonder if this will be the end of COD's dominance of the FPS market. I still think MW3 will sell more than BF3, but when it comes to the next games in the series, I am not so sure.

It’s easy to see that DICE is looking to the future of the next gen consoles with PC being the main platform for BF3. I take it as this is what the next gen consoles need to be able to handle and if they can’t, no need in releasing one. One developer is looking to the future of gaming and the other seems to keep living off of past successes. I don’t want to see either one fail because the competition is what keeps the developers pushing the limits of the technology that is available and coming in the near future.

I think the thing I appreciate is that they are trying to keep it fresh somewhat...yes MW3 will play like MW2...thats a good thing to me. MW2 runs as smooth as a babies ass.
Will the strike packages suck...maybe. But, it also means I can get a 8 kill streak and get every perk as well.

the key being missed here is that a person getting all the perks isn't going to be calling in carpet bombs and dogs. I can see where the balance is, and I think it will be more apparent as time in game is accured.
