Thats mainly what I do to get clear the mind. But its usually only on the way to and from work. My first bike was an H-D Sportster 883 then I move up to a '98 Buell S1 White Lightning for 10 years a which point I sold that and bought my current Italian lady -a 2007 MV Agusta F4 1000R. The bike is a beast (understatement).

I've seen only one of those in my life time in person.

I used to ride back in the days, stopped in 2004.

One bad life changing incident made me think otherwise about riding.

Long story short, I'm approaching red light, check my mirrors, see a car behind me (about 1-2 seconds behind me), start to brake, about 2-3 seconds from the light as it turned from yellow to red. Put my feet down, put her in neutral, check my mirrors once again, FUCKING car from behind RUNS the red by going between the island and myself, I hugged the lane dividers on the ground if I'm the first vehicle at the line. That's what saved my ass from being in a wreck.

Tried to put that incident behind me, never found riding on the streets enjoyable ever again.

Thats precisely the reason I bought that bike - rareity (is that a word?).

I hear you though. Im thoroughly convinced that I wont be the one responsbile for my accident. I did just lose my dad in August though and he was on a motorcycle. The next day I went for a ride cause I knew he wouldnt want me to stop. He rode ALOT though. 20-25000 miles a year.

Here's another pic for yourn eyes!
