Has anyone else played this? I just signed up for it and installed it today. It is basically like an updated version of Quake 3, and it is free to play. Played a couple rounds of free for all and had a blast. I am NihilisticNate on there.

Looks like fun but no way is my PC fast enough to run that. :(

It probably can Rich. The game isn't too advanced since it is basically quake 3 which is a very old game, and it runs from your browser instead of its own program.

Played this a bunch last night, and it is pretty damn fun! Real old-school FPS with health packs, armor, spawning weapons, power-ups and total run and gun chaos. You can play with bots to practice or online with real people. Didn't seem to be a ton of games to join, but the ones I did I got in the first time every time and never had any major lag issues. I did get my ass kicked most games, but by the last few I was breaking about even. There are several modes including free for all, team death match, capture the flag, domination, and team arena (each person gets one life per round). There are a ton of maps which are pretty verticle with jumping and teleporting pads. You can pay a monthly fee (something I have no intention of doing) which unlocks more maps and a couple other modes and the ability to set up your own matches with whatever rules you want.

I don't think I will play this a lot, but do plan on playing it from time to time. Pure oldschool fun.

EDIT: here are the system requirements in case anyone is intersted: http://www.quakelive.com/#!faq/faq_question_3

I gave it a shot but my laptop couldn't cut it. Voice kept cutting out and game froze up a lot. :(
