Just picked up this game up a few days ago for $29(thanks Mutt). It is by far the best game I have ever played on a nintendo console. I don't know why I didn't buy this when it came out. I've played it until 4:30 in the morning twice this week.

Your welcome Gator! I can't believe I almost passed this title up! I originally didn't pick it up for a couple of reasons. The MSRP was high for a game that was released on the PS360. Seeing it on the shelf in my local drug store for 59.99 for the Wii U and then in a bargain bin for 19.99 in the same store is hard pill to swallow. I was waiting if EA was going to release the PS360 Trilogy pack for the Wii U and we'll be waiting for long time for that to happen! Also having not played the previous two installments was a deterrent but there's a 20 min interactive digital comic in the beginning that fills in the backstory for Mass Effect 1 and 2.

I saw it at my Wal-Mart for 29.98 and I would of regretted it if I didn't dive in and I have to say it's one of the best games that I have ever played.

I'm not going to give away any spoilers. The graphics and locales are breathtaking in Mass Effect 3. The graphics have an almost pastel, painting like luster to them and I've never see anything like it before. I find myself stopping in almost every local to soak in the environment. The Normandy ship and architect seem like they paid attention to all of the minute details. Everything seems like it has a function and purpose in the design for the ships, buildings, rooms, furnishing etc...

The VA is fantastic. All of the characters are intriguing. The writing, music all of it is top notch!

It's an RPG third person shooter. You can halt in the middle of a firefight and command your characters to move to specific spots, command them to use specific "Mass Effects", and you can do this repeatedly to yourself and characters throughout a fight. You cannot re-use a power right away unless it's recharged. It's a different take for me for a shooter. Your not doing one thing too many times in a row and the pacing is perfect. What I mean is, your not continuously shooting from one thing to the next, the game breaks it up with a cutscene, or you can go to a different locale to go speak to a character etc...

I've played it mainly on the GamePad nightly before going to bed and the story has kept me intrigued. It feels like your playing in a movie or an episodic solid sci-fi TV series.

By far this is the best launch title for the Wii U and one that you shouldn't play because the other two Mass Effects are not on the Wii U and the Trilogy Pack is not going to be on the system. Pick it up if it's cheap but don't pass this one up.

I agree with Gator, this is one of the best 3rd party games I have played on a Nintendo console and one of the best games I have played overall.

If your experiencing a long drought on the Wii U, fill it with ME3!

The Canadian site lists it at 39.99, IMO a really good price. Are they all box sets? That's all that I can find for screenshots. A lot of value. I really wish that this was getting released to for the Wii U.

For MPs on the Wii U that would like to know what the difference is between Mass Effect 3 and Mass Effect Special Edition, this is what I found on the Mass Effect 3 wiki.

I've played with Off-TV play for about 10 hours of the story so far. I'm going to try both the GamePad / Wii U Pro controller on the TV. (I love the Wii U Pro Controller! Comfortable and long charge.)

Here is some gameplay.

Hey Mutt, how far are you along? What's your favorite weapons?

I'm up to 12 hours into the game and I've done some of the main missions and I'm doing a lot of the side missions. I'm stuck at rescuing the students Garrison Academy? Once you get out of the atrium you get pinned down and there's a Atlas there. I'm going to finish that tonight. The first sniper rifle is my favorite. I found an electrical rifle that I like because of it's high damage, but in the student mission I found another assault rifle that I like. How far are you? I've been mostly using the GamePad but I like using the Wii U Pro Controller. It's nicer.

Have you gone into multiplayer?
