My kids love this too; we have it on PS4 and PC now.
I've not got around to trying it yet, but it looks fun.

With PUBG hitting the Xbox One in 10 days in the preview program, is this one still worth checking out?

Can't compare Fortnite with PUBG. Fortnite is a much faster experience most of the time compared to PUBG, meaning the rounds are shorter on average. Also, Fortnite has that Team Fortress comic style and doesn't care much for ultra realistics. I haven't had the chance to actually play PUBG myself yet, but I think even for a hard sworn PUBG-Player, Fortnite is a worthwile alternative after a couple of intense chicken dinners or for the giggles before jumping into the serious business.

The only thing they've got in common is a circle shaped zone that gets smaller step by step and an outside zone that gets deadlier the smaller the inside zone gets. Oh, and both have weapons in them.

edit: oh well... I kinda speak against myself in the first 2 sentences :D
edit2: did I mention that Fortnite Battle Royale is free?

It's free, so worth a try.

The biggest difference is that Fortnite includes a building mechanic that plays a big role in the end game.

I like PUBG a lot better, and really dislike the inability to ADS in Fortnite, combined with the OP of sniper rifles (which you can ADS in) and because I am not good at what I'm doing in the building aspects.

Also - as noted - Fortnite has the cartoon art style that I'm not a fan of.

    Presto Bitch!!
