Just remember Stains, Rainbow Six & Ghost Recon - both UbiSoft games.

Amazing. I seriously hope the gameplay matches the awesome looks of the game. It looks like it might be the first "true" next gen game.

I can see your point, but the Wii U offered some great graphics for Blacklist and the gamepad offered some unique gameplay capabilities, but the overall dynamics for multiplayer seemed far more stilted and less fluid than say other FPS I have played.

But how was the multiplayer on these? I noticed some MPs loved Ghost Recon.
Yet the war stories lasted just 3 months and interest just died out.
(Not that this is an indicator-eg GTAV being the best selling/ amazing game of the year, and soon all talk of it soon dies out on the forums)
And my only experience of Rainbow Six was on PC, about 8 years ago. And I see little interest of the series on the forums.
Were they a good addition to the last gen consoles?

I can see HCs' point that 'The Division' should be primarily built for multiplayer.

And as for that Snowflake engine. That is looking like a game changer.

Splinter Cell MP is not like CoD or BF or any other type of FPS/3rdPS. If people go in expecting that type of experience then they will be disappointed.

Same here, Ghost Recon and Rainbow Six are not like CoD/BF. As much as people talk about team work being the focus of BF (and compared to CoD or most other shooters, they are right), it doesn't come close to Ghost Recon or Rainbow Six. I stopped playing Ghost Recon with MP's as many quit for a couple of reasons.

#1 It like most games had bugs. The lag after launch was pretty bad. Many decided to go back to MW3/BF3 because of this. The issues how ever did get fixed and the game played great.

#2 We have a very casual community. The GR & R6 gaming community, they are not very casual. They take it pretty serious and unless you are willing to use strategy and work as a team you will get destroyed/frustrated. And yes I know, BF = team work and strategy. But in BF you can take off and go rambo and ignore objectives while trying to get an achievement or assignment completed and leave your team short handed and still come out on top. In GR, if one person does that while going up against a team of even half decent players, it's over, your team will get destroyed.

I thought that might have been the case.

So what camp do you think The Division will fall into?

A combination of the two I guess would be the ideal.

The Division is something new. If I were to compare it anything from what I've seen so far, it seems closer to WarCraft rather than any shooter. With the seem-less flow between drop in co-op and pvp gameplay. It's something completely different. The actual gameplay/shooter mechanics are similar to Gears of War/Ghost Recon. But the world looks huge and interactive along with a story attached to the online game.

Finally watched these vids and it looks really freakin good. Love the way they overlay the graphics in the Sessler/walkthrough videos.

Yes - this will be perfect for MP's to team up in.

    Presto Bitch!!

So is this all PvP, or AI as well? Like the battle they had in that vid? Still not real clear on this game.
